Professional Summary

I am an Aikido instructor with more than two decades of martial arts experience, dedicated to transmitting the teachings of Shoji Nishio sensei and to continuous professional development. Since 2009, I have been leading classes for children and adults in Albertirsa and Budapest. Since 2021, the practice of Qigong (Chi Kung) has also become an important part of my professional path. Within this field, I consciously study the work of Master Shi Heng Yi. Besides practicing forms, I pay special attention to the martial and philosophical principles behind his teachings. My goal is to pass on this knowledge—integrated with my own experiences—during our shared practice.

Dates and Events

I was born on February 3, 1969, in Budapest. I spent my childhood in Dánszentmiklós, and after elementary school, I graduated from Kossuth Lajos High School in Cegléd. Due to my interest in IT, I studied computer programming after my military service.

1996

I have always been interested in sports and movement. I started practicing Goju-Ryu Karate with László Juhász. I actively attended his classes for more than four years, which I enjoyed very much.

2001

My first Aikido class was at the Hoshizora Aikido Dojo founded by Csaba Molnár. For more than a year, I practiced Karate and Aikido in parallel. During this time, I got married, and we had three children: Eszter, Dani, and Peti.

2007

I first encountered the name of Master Shoji Nishio in 2007; at that time, I only saw his techniques on video recordings.

2008

During my first trip to the Czech Republic, I participated in an Aikido seminar led by Ichiro Shishiya sensei in Hradec Králové.

2009

My 1st Dan Aikido exam took place in February 2009, before John Rogers, the head of the Aikido Association of Ireland. Since September 2009, I have been holding Aikido classes for children and adults in Albertirsa.

2010

I became a member of YUFUKAN, a Japanese organization dedicated to preserving, developing, and passing on the legacy of Shoji Nishio sensei. In the same year, at my invitation, Master Takashi Kuroki visited Budapest for the first time.

2011

Between June 29 and July 3, 2011, I participated in the training camp of Koji Yoshida sensei in Hořice, where I successfully passed my 2nd Dan Aikido and 2nd Kyu Aiki Toho Iai exams, and received an official Nishio Budo instructor certificate.

2013

In September 2013, Takashi Kuroki sensei visited Budapest for the third time. He held 10 hours of training over two days. After the camp, I passed my 1st Kyu Aiki Toho Iai exam.

To further expand my knowledge, I began a Certified Coach training in October 2013, which I completed with a successful exam in 2014.

True Style Magazine interviewed me under the title "Nishio Aikido in Hungary."

2015

I participated in the Kid Fitness - Children's Aerobics instructor training, which I completed with a successful exam on March 21, 2015.

At the European Kyusho Academy, I successfully passed the E.K.A. Kyusho Jitsu Level 1 exam on March 28, 2015.

In September 2015, Takashi Kuroki sensei visited Budapest for the fifth time, holding 9 hours of training. During the camp, I successfully passed my 3rd Dan exam.

2016

Several Aikido instructors joined our association, so we now have instructors in Albertirsa, four locations in Budapest, and in Cegléd. I participate in international training camps at least twice a year. Master Takashi Kuroki visited Hungary for the sixth time.

2018

Master Takashi Kuroki visited Hungary for the eighth time. In 2018, I started practicing with the nunchaku. I find it a fascinating weapon whose use is a real challenge and helps in developing and understanding the circular movements important in martial arts. It clearly shows the different dexterity of the right and left hands and helps to bring them to the same level.

2019

Master Takashi Kuroki visited Hungary for the ninth time. During the camp, I passed my 4th Dan exam.

2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 90% of the trainings were cancelled. Home, individual practice came to the fore; to help with this, I created a video series titled "Staff Exercises."

2021

In the second half of the year, I discovered Master Shi Heng Yi's name, videos, and the Luohan 13 Qigong set. I felt at first sight that I wanted to learn and practice this. The principles and practice of Qigong complement, expand, and develop my Aikido knowledge.

2023

I participated in the Shaolin Temple Europe's five-day "YinYang Power - The Art of Qigong" workshop.

2024

In 2024, I participated in the Spine and Fitness professional training at the Bene Spine Academy. Since I also work with children, I felt the need to better understand the topic and integrate the knowledge into my trainings.

I successfully completed the training titled "Ethics in Sport, Child Protection Knowledge" organized by the Hungarian Coaching Association.

I also participated in the three-month Human Kinesiology – "Living and Moving Anatomy" course organized by the Bene Spine Academy.

2025

In April 2025, I participated in the NMPT (Natural Movement Pattern Training) instructor course. I believe correct posture is vital as it is the foundation of all movement. Since I work with children, this expertise is doubly important.

In November, I participated in Master Shi Heng Yi's retreat, where I delved into the legendary Luohan 13 set. Beyond the physical execution, we studied the martial aspects, the body's spiral power generation, and mindfulness in total isolation and digital silence.

2026

On January 11, 2026, I was awarded the 5th Dan rank in Aikido at the Kagamibiraki ceremony.

If time permits, I enjoy fishing, cycling, or windsurfing. I was introduced to the amateur radio hobby as a child; my call sign is HA7EA. I enjoy working with wood (drilling, carving, planing), and I am also interested in gardening.

I am grateful to all those who supported and helped me, providing the opportunity to reach this level in Aikido: my coaches, my dear wife, my children, and my entire family.
